Laborde adds three to its team
COVINGTON, La. – To keep up with the growth of its business, marine and industrial engine distributor Laborde Products has added three employees, the company said in a statement Friday.
Chip Diamond joins Laborde as production manager. He is responsible for product outflow to fulfill customer orders, as well as inventory management. He will increase product quality and production process efficiencies while reducing costs. Previously a product development engineer at General Motors, Diamond received a Colleague of the Year Award from the company’s research and development department.
As Laborde’s controller, Kristin Brewer assists with inventory as well as manages client accounts and financial statements. Brewer draws from 10 years of previous experience at Laborde in her new position.
Ensuring daily business activities are on schedule, Julie Davis serves as office administrator. Previously working in accounts payable, her main responsibilities are human resources and assisting in every department to complete projects. As Laborde continues to expand, she will help maintain the company’s high level of organization.
