Lowrance expands sales team

TULSA, Okla. – Marine electronics manufacturer Lowrance has made three additions to its national sales management team, it reported in a recent statement.

The company has hired Sean Hatherley as its national OEM sales manager, and Chris Stratton and Dan McGannon as key account managers within Navico’s national account sales channel.

The addition of these sales veterans is expected to enhance the Lowrance OEM and retail sales efforts and ensure continued success and growth in these key markets, according to the company.

In his new position, Hatherley is responsible for developing the OEM marine electronics market and sales efforts through boat manufacturers such as Brunswick and Genmar. With over 17 years of sales experience, Hatherley brings knowledge of marine electronics and customer service expertise to the team, the company stated. Hatherley joins Lowrance following an eight-year stint at Raymarine as national OEM sales manager.

As key account managers, Stratton and McGannon are responsible for managing and supporting important national accounts as well as online retail relationships, Lowrance reported. Stratton brings over 10 years of sales experience with MCI, Qwest, and most recently, Verizon Business, to the Lowrance team. McGannon has spent the last several years supporting the Lowrance and Eagle product lines as a Pro Staff member.

  1. My name is Len Salvatore. I am a bass tournament fisher. I belong to one of the largest bass clubs in NJ. I’m a salesperson for Motion Industries for the past 16 years and have been the top salesman for several years with my multi billion dollar company. I have been using Lowrance products for most of my fishing years. I do have an idea. I have bought several bass boats that cost over 50k and most of my friends own new boats. My friends upgrade their electronics for the biggest and best. The problem is nobody knows how to use them to there abilities. You can look on the internet and try to remember buy the CDs. But still not working. Too much to absorb. You need a local guy with electronics on their boat and charge a fee for an on the water lesson. Everyone I spoke with would pay whatever it cost to know how to use them to the best of its ability. I can be your guy in the northeast. I will come to your facility and let you teach me. I can then take people out and do hands on teaching. I’m not looking for any hand out. I will pay for the biggest and best equipment. I just need someone to teach me. I’ve looked on every website and tried to study the manual. Way to many details. I am telling you the honest truth nobody knows how to use their units properly. I think you would sell so many more high end units if people felt like they can use it to the best of its ability. Unless your company doesn’t lwant the non professional to understand the technology and catch more fish. I’m sure that’s not what your company wants. It’s such a huge tool if understood. Everyone would love to use the unit to its full extent. When I see people spending over 5k on electronics that they have no idea how to use it’s frustrating. Again like I said I am a very successful salesperson and avid bass fisherman. I know I can help your company sell more expensive units by just letting people know they have an option for high tech on the water support. 908-229-3571. Thank you. If you do already have a service for this please give me the number so I can set up an on the water appointment. Again thank you.
