MAC Canvas Solutions hires engineering VP

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Marine Accessories Corp. has named Chris Schumacher vice president of engineering for its MAC Canvas Solutions division, the company said in a press release Wednesday.

Schumacher has more than 15 years of experience in industrial design and engineering management in the automotive industry. Previously at Magna International, Inc.’s Bestop division, Schumacher was engineering manager and was responsible for designing and developing OEM and aftermarket Jeep and truck products, including soft tops. Prior to that, he spent eight years in various engineering management roles with Lund International, an aftermarket automotive accessory manufacturer.

“Chris joins MAC to lead new product development and manage the engineering functions of MAC Canvas Solutions,” said Rick Reyenger, MAC’s CEO. “We look forward to having his expertise in not only a design capacity to keep an innovative product offering for our OEM and aftermarket customers, but also in a leadership role as we continue the integration of Boatswain’s Locker, Great Lakes Boat Top and Westland into MAC Canvas Solutions.”
