Brunswick promotes personnel
LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Brunswick Corp. has promoted Jeffrey Kinsey to vice president of strategy and corporate development, the company said in a statement yesterday.
Kinsey will oversee strategic planning for Brunswick and report to Peter Leemputte, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Kinsey succeeds Dale Tompkins, who will join Brunswick Bowling & Billiards and report to Warren Hardie, Brunswick Bowling & Billiards president.
Kinsey most recently was vice president of the Focused Businesses Unit, a collection of small but fast-growing businesses within Mercury Marine, a Brunswick unit. He joined Mercury in 2003 as vice president of strategy and business development before assuming his most recent role in 2004.
In his new role, Tompkins will focus on developing new business opportunities for Brunswick Bowling & Billiards. Before his most recent assignment, he also had served as vice president of strategy and business development for Mercury Marine Group, joining the company in 2000.
