Charles Industries hires new director
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. – Charles Industries has appointed Morten Andreasen to director of product development and engineering for the Charles Marine & Industrial Group, the company said in a statement yesterday. In his new role with Charles Marine, Andreasen will assist the company in product design, development and technical support operations.
Andreasen has been part of the marine industry more than 28 years, including 15 years developing new product. He previously worked for companies that include Shipmate, Simrad and Raymarine. Prior to joining Charles Marine, Andreasen was global product manager for Raymarine.
Originally from Denmark, Andreasen graduated from Viborg Technical Institute with a degree in electronics in 1979. He will be focusing on designing products with a global appeal and is managing the development of Intelligent Marine Chargers to be introduced at the 2007 International Marine Trades Exhibit and Conference.
