Power Cruising under new managing editor
NEWPORT, R.I. – World Publications has named Chris Cornell as the new managing editor of Power Cruising magazine, the company said in a statement yesterday. Cornell will draw on his more than 20 years of experience in covering topics for cruising powerboat owners.
“We’re looking to do more in boat design, construction and maintenance, which are three subjects where Chris will really put to use his exceptional background and judgment,” said Pierce Hoover, Power Cruising editor.
Cornell was the founding editor of Professional BoatBuilder magazine, where he helped develop the International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition. He was also the executive editor of National Fisherman, directing Atlantic and Gulf coast coverage for the monthly commercial-fishing trade journal.
“I am very excited to embark on this new adventure,” Cornell said. “Power Cruising already offers its readers such a wealth of information. I’m eager to jump in and make this magazine a must-read for everyone who loves this lifestyle.”
