Marine Mover – Taylor Made names new president

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. – Taylor Made Systems has named Al Petit as its new president, Dennis Flint, president of the Taylor Made Group, said in a statement earlier this week.

Petit has been general manager of the Taylor Made Systems factory in Gloversville, N.Y., since early 2004.

“As general manager of our Gloversville plant, Petit has led in plant organization and successfully implemented a lean manufacturing initiative,” Flint said. “He also was responsible for implementing an improved quality system and integration of engineering into the production and product design cycle.”

Petit is a manufacturing and operations professional with experience in a number of facets of production, logistics and engineering. Prior to joining Taylor Made, he was vice president of operations at Comfortex Corporation, where he was responsible for managing three factories in New York, Florida and Nevada.
