Marine Movers – New leaders take helm of Annapolis Boat Shows

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Edward Hartman has taken over as president of the Annapolis Boat Shows and Bennett Crain has taken over as chairman of the board, The Capital newspaper in Annapolis reported on its Web site recently.

Hartman founded what is today Annapolis Tours and Watermark Cruises, and Crain is the former owner of Horn Point Marina. The men shared a law practice for about 25 years, according to the newspaper.

They take over from Kathryn Wood, who died in June. She was the widow of show founder Jerry Wood.

“The shows will go on. It’s business as usual,” show spokesman Rick Franke said.

“Things have run smoothly, are running smoothly and will continue to run smoothly,” said Hartman. “It’s our wish that the shows continue and (they) will, as long as the city wants us.”
