By Mike Davin, online editor, Boating Industry — In the old days, if you had a suggestion for your favorite magazine, you could call them up or compose a letter to the editor.
Today, you're still free to do those things. However, there are dozens of other ways to interact with us. We get e-mail; we read the comments on this blog and on our Facebook page; there are Twitter messages, LinkedIn postings — you get the idea.
Now we've added one more way for you to interact with us. On our Facebook page, we've added a "Poll" tab, where we will periodically post poll questions. Some will be about issues in the marine industry, others might be about things we're doing or thinking of doing with the magazine or our websites. And if you have an idea for a poll, you’re welcome to suggest one.
To check out the new section, go to Facebook.com/BImag. Our first question is: "How many consumer events are you holding this summer compared to last summer?" We want to know how you’re balancing this piece of your marketing strategy with the need to control costs in today’s economy.
We take your input seriously – no matter what form it is delivered in – and we frequently use it to make decisions about the products and services we offer you, from our magazine and e-newsletters to our website, white papers, social media, events and custom publications. So, don’t hesitate to contact us whichever way suits you best.
