A fresh perspective

Last month, Boating Industry hired a new full-time associate editor, Brent Renneke. He’s been on board for less than three weeks, but he’s already hard at work, interviewing dealers and manufacturers for articles to be published in the coming months, writing for our daily e-newsletter, editing our latest magazine issue and calling Top 100 Dealers about the upcoming application deadline.

Even on his first day, Brent showed us what he was made of. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism on Sunday, May 15, and then showed up bright and early for his first day of work the next morning. He brings with him experience gained through several internships, including a newsroom position with the MSP Business Journal, a writer for the U of M College of Science & Engineering and a reporter for the Southwest/Downtown Journal. But more importantly, he brings a great energy and enthusiasm to our team.

Many of you will have a chance to meet him in person this November during the Marine Dealer Conference & Expo and Top 100 Dealers Gala, held at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando. You’ll also have a chance to get to know him here, within the Boating Industry Insider Blog. Look for his first contribution next week. I have no doubt you’ll enjoy his fresh perspective on our industry.
