Ocean Signal appoints sales and marketing manager

KENT, England — Ocean Signal, a manufacturer of communication and safety at sea products, has appointed James Hewitt as sales and marketing manager for the UK and overseas markets.

According to Ocean Signal, Hewitt has extensive experience in marine industry electronics having worked with a leading UK electronics manufacturer as export sales manager. His experience with yachting also includes competing in national, European and world championships in dinghies, keel boats and currently a J109.

“It’s great to have James Hewitt on board at this exciting time for Ocean Signal,” Ocean Signal Managing Director Alan Wrigley said. “Having launched our SafeSea range throughout Europe and USA, we are now delivering extensive product orders to our new distribution chain. It will be James’s task to continue that momentum and assist in expanding our distribution internationally in both the leisure and commercial markets. His experience and enthusiasm will help Ocean Signal to develop global brand recognition.”

Ocean Signal is based in Margate, Kent, where the SafeSea product range was developed and is now manufactured.
