Northwest Marine Trade Association announces new show in Anacortes, Wash.

The Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA) and the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce announced they will co-produce the new Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show at the Port of Anacortes’ Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes, Wash. May 17-20, 2018.

The show will have in-water display space for new and brokerage boats, a shoreside tent for accessory displays, shoreside space for trailerable boats and more space for boats at the the dry storage facilities just south of the marina. In all there will be space to display 300 plus boats, which will make it the largest boat show ever held in Anacortes, and will draw serious boat buyers from across the region and British Columbia.

Anacortes is one of the boating capitals of the Northwest. It is conveniently situated equidistant between Seattle and Vancouver B.C. and is the homeport for the San Juan islands, a world-renowned boating destination.

“In looking for a producer of a boat show in Anacortes, we were all so impressed with the professionalism of the staff at the NMTA and the great events they create that it was an easy decision to make to partner with them,” said Stephanie Hamilton, President, Anacortes Chamber of Commerce.  “We have a shared vision of building a show that is for everyone, from paddle boards to mega yachts, on land and in the water, and to keep the cost for exhibitors reasonable.”

“The Anacortes waterfront and community are a perfect venue to showcase recreational boating and fishing outside of the hustle and bustle of Seattle,” said George Harris, President, NMTA. “Anacortes is one of my favorite places in the Northwest and where I keep my own boat. It’s only 90 minutes from Seattle and looks, smells and feels like boating from the minute you arrive.”

“The NMTA Board, Anacortes Chamber of Commerce, Port of Anacortes, local businesses and I are all excited about creating the next great boat show in the Northwest for our members,” he added.
