Tige Boats wins platinum safety award

Tige Boats has been awarded a 2017 Platinum Safety Partner Award by Texas Mutual Insurance. Only 200 out of the 68,000 Texas Mutual companies were recognized with the award.

The Platinum Safety Partner Award is presented to companies that demonstrate commitment to workplace safety by implementing an exemplary safety program and controlling their workers’ compensation losses. Tige Boats employs more than 200 people and amassed a total of over 400,000 work hours in 2016.

The award is significant due to the level of hand done processes and the use of chemicals that go into the Tige product, said Charlie Pigeon, founder and CEO of Tige Boats.
