Torqeedo opens Asia-Pacific office in Bangkok

Torqeedo has opened a new office in Bangkok, Thailand, to accommodate its growth in Asia and the Pacific region.

An expanding focus on marine preservation, sustainable tourism, ecofishing and the electrification of commercial vessels have created a strong interest in Torqeedo products by regional public and private entities, the company said.

Torqeedo added the region also shows increasing investment in sustainable public transportation initiatives, a sector which continues to drive Torqeedo’s expansion into commercial markets.

“Torqeedo’s focused sales and service team will ensure that these projects bring all the benefits of going electric, including lower cost-of-ownership and reduced environmental impact, to our APAC customers,” said CEO Christoph Ballin.

Torqeedo’s Asia-Pacific team is led by David Hunter, who serves as the managing director.
