Technomarine selected for Jockey Club renovation project

With crystal-clear waters, sun rise views to the east, and a downtown Miami skyline to the south, Jockey Club at the north end of Biscayne Bay is tucked away as a quiet little hidden gem. Technomarine has been awarded the design-build contract for the complete renovation of the docks at Jockey Club’s newest addition, Apeiron, which will now offer a deep-water marina for Miami’s megayacht community. Jocket Club is located at the north end of Biscayne Bay.

Coined Apeiron, meaning “limitless,” the 40-story condo/hotel tower and megayacht marina on the site will offer a truly unlimited experience keeping true to the exclusivity Jockey Club has always been known for, according to Technomarine. Inside the tower will be 240 residential units of up to 4,000 square feet, 90 hotel rooms, health and wellness facilities, pool, tennis courts, an art and music program, and several dining options. Bespoke services will be at the forefront of the new community.

The planned marina renovations will incorporate Technomarine’s aluminum floating docks, configured in a new design layout to accommodate the megayacht community and allow for easy boating access to Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The deep-water basin will offer 52 slips for yachts up to 100’, with features such as a track system with adjustable cleats enabling each boater to accommodate for their individual boat size, composite decking and fendering, and electrical, water, sewer and fire protection systems. Construction of the marina will be done in three phases, with the first two phases finishing in summer of 2018. This updated system is designed to withstand Category 1 hurricane winds fully occupied and Category 3 conditions when unoccupied.
