Nautical Ventures hires Domenico Fossati to expand marketing efforts

Nautical Ventures has brought aboard Domenico Fossati to help the company’s plans to expand its Tender, Rib and Inflatable boat markets. With over 28 years of marine experience and fluent in four languages, Fossati will focus on both domestic and international sales for Highfield, Novurania, Metan, Ribjet, F-RIB and more.

“Tender sales represent about 25 percent of Nautical Ventures annual revenue, and growth within this segment has been meteoric over the past two years,” said Roger Moore, CEO of Nautical Ventures Group and architect of his company’s new tender business model. “As a result, we have been approached by many inflatable manufacturers with some very proprietary business opportunities. I feel Domenico, with his experience and contacts, will serve to expand our distribution services.”

Fossati has a degree in mechanical engineering from Politecnico Di Milano Scientific-Technological University in Milan, Italy. His first job with the petrochemical company MONTEDISON led him to study industrial management with training in Turkey, Belgium and Spain. He was recruited by Milan’s PETROCHEMICAL and sent to Venezuela as the company’s commercial director overseeing business instrumentation and electrical systems. It was here his love for boating took hold and Fossati invested both his money and experience as a full partner in the Venezuelan company CARIBE NAUTICA C.A., manufacturer of rigid hull inflatable boats. Success grew into an affiliate company, CARIBE INFLATABLES USA, INC. Located in Miami, Fla., it functioned as a full-package boat distributorship.

“After dissolving my partnership with CARIBE, I was looking to utilize my skills and experience with a growing marine business that shared my vision to add distributions services to their retail operations,” said Fossati. “My past business dealings with Nautical Ventures through The Fossati Group, USA, and as the North American distributor for Highfield Tenders, I knew we could collaborate on a business plan for success.”
