Atlantic City Boat Show attendance up 8 percent

Attendance at this year’s Progressive Insurance Atlantic City Boat Show was up 8 percent this year, show organizers announced Wednesday.

Attendance for the five-day show, which ended Sunday was reported at 38,164, up from 35,225 in 2016. Sunday saw the best attendance since 2008.

Another contributing factor to the attendance increase, organizers said. was “Super Thursday,” a day created to offer one-day only specials, such as $5 off tickets after 5 p.m., incentives on boats and gear, enter-to-win prizes from Meet AC and much more. “Super Thursday,” saw an 81 percent increase in attendance after 5 p.m. compared to 2016 and several dealers felt Thursday specials resulted in sales.
