Freedom Boat Club launches corporate ambassador program

Freedom Boat Club recently appointed 38 Freedom Boat Club members from throughout Southwest Florida to serve as official representatives of its newly launched ambassador program. The ambassadors were feted by Freedom Boat Club’s senior management team at two separate celebrations earlier this month in Nokomis and Ft. Myers, Fla.

“It has been a long-term vision of ours to work more closely with a group of our most loyal and enthusiastic members in an effort to better tap their perspectives while simultaneously, inviting them to more actively engage and personally promote the benefits of club membership,” said Freedom Boat Club CEO and President John Giglio. “We are very excited to have organized this dedicated group of avid boating and club enthusiasts, and based on our initial gatherings, expect it to be a win-win relationship for all involved.”

The Freedom Boat Club ambassadors reside and boat throughout the 17 corporate-owned club locations from Bradenton to Marco Island, Fla. Each has volunteered to serve a one-year calendar term and will represent the club at special events including monthly member socials, boat shows and other activities, while participating in social media and sharing feedback via marketing focus groups and surveys.

According the Giglio, the program is expected to be replicated at franchise locations throughout North America, with roll out slated for April.

“Our corporate organization often serves as a BETA site for new programs, with the goal to refine the parameters internally and then make it available for franchise execution,” he said. “We introduced the concept for our ambassador program at our national franchise conference this past winter and many of our franchise owners and operators expressed interest in following suit. Everyone agrees that it’s important to actively engage with your customers and to listen to their ideas and suggestions, and this new program provides outstanding opportunity for both.”
