Albemarle introducing 29 Express at FLIBS

Albemarle Boats is set to debut its newest model, the 29 Express at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show next week.

“The 29 is the newest addition to our line-up of Yamaha outboard powered express boats,” said Albemarle General Manager Burch Perry. “It is unique in that it offers the ultimate in hardcore fishing amenities and the comforts of home in a compact package. With a dry weight of approximately 13,000 lbs, this is a stout boat that will run fast, efficiently, and keep with our mantra of providing boats that are ‘Always Dry and Always Comfortable.’”

Powered by twin 350 HP Yamaha engines and carrying 310 gallons of fuel, the 29 Express boasts a 30-plus knot cruise and nearly 400 miles of range. It features an American Cherry wood trimmed interior, galley, sleeping for a crew of four, and a separate “stand-up” head.

The 65-square-foot cockpit boasts a standard transom door and folding cockpit seating. There is mezzanine style aft-facing seating, tackle storage and an optional cockpit galley with electric grill. A 25-gallon drink box, two 56-gallon in-deck fishboxes, and an integrated swim ladder compliment a long list of standard equipment on the 29. The helm deck has seating for five, and the molded one piece fiberglass windshield with frameless glass provides unobstructed views from the helm.

“By combining all the amenities of a fishing boat with the comforts of a family cruiser, we feel we have created the sport utility vehicle of the boating industry,” said Albemarle Director of Sales and Marketing Ted Haigler. “This is the culmination of years of experience and customer input and we’re excited to get it to Fort Lauderdale and show the world what it’s all about!”
