Laura Greces appointed general manager of MarineMax Vacations

MarineMax Vacations announced that Laura Greces has been appointed to the position of general manager of the company’s charter base in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

“We are excited to welcome Laura to the MarineMax Vacations team to oversee all aspects of charter operations at our Tortola base in the British Virgin Islands,” said Raul Bermudez, vice president of MarineMax Vacations. “Her extensive industry experience in both charter operations and guest service combined with her strong management skills will continue to strengthen our Tortola Base Team.”

Greces comes to the team with more than 30 years of experience in the charter industry. She first entered the industry as a chef/first mate aboard a 50′ crewed yacht.  Following that, she transitioned into the operations aspect as general manager of Mexico operations for The Moorings followed by director of crewed operations in Tortola. Greces has lived in Tortola for more than 26 years.

“Bringing Laura to the team with her all-encompassing experience fulfills a significant role for the charter division’s growth and expansion plans. Her previous responsibilities not only as a crew member but also managing crewed yacht charters of 50’+ boats and general operations manager created a solid foundation for her career and for our team’s growing needs,” stated Bermudez. “She is another asset to our existing team of charter industry veterans and we are fortunate to have her join us. We have formed the best team in the British Virgin Islands.”
