Sunseeker to debut Manhattan 52 at Southampton Boat Show

Sunseeker International announced its smallest flybridge model for over a decade, the Manhattan 52. The Manhattan 52 will be making its U.K. debut at Southampton Boat Show, the U.K.’s largest in-water boat show.

The Manhattan 52 is devised to maximize entertainment options, light and living space throughout the boat. Its hull incorporates curved glass to emphasise its lines as well as bringing the outside in and sets the design direction for a new wave of Manhattan models that will be introduced over the coming years.

Exclusive pictures released earlier this year revealed the design and attention to detail of the new flybridge model. The company said the unique layout of the main deck makes this the perfect boat for entertaining in style; with a strong focus on creating fun and easy to use sociable spaces.

“From the generous saloon and upper aft galley, through to the social seating at the helm, this exceptional layout allows the owner and guests to move effortlessly between entertaining spaces,” said the company in a press release.

The bathing platform and transom area can be converted into a mini beach club, which Sunseeker says is a unique and unrivalled feature for a boat in this class. This area offers a space for family and friends to enjoy the optional built-in barbeque, overhead shower and fold down transom seating.

The hinged glass cockpit/galley window opens upwards and outwards, which, alongside the bi-fold saloon doors, creates an inside/outside environment. The convertible helm seating area is another new feature, designed to enhance life onboard as it allows owners to fold the seats forward to provide a large saloon seating area.

Space is available for three very large cabins below thanks to the galley being situated on the main deck. The master cabin includes full height headroom all the way around the bed.

Powered by Volvo Penta D11-725 engines on shaft drive or Volvo Penta IPS-950, the Manhattan 52 can cruise comfortably at 24 knots with a cruising range of 250 nautical miles or achieve 33 knots at full throttle.

Sunseeker will be showcasing its range at the on-water show, which will welcome visitors from all over the world to the boating capital of the U.K. The show is one of Southampton’s biggest events and takes over the city for a 10-day period. Sunseeker will showcase the Predator 68 MK II, the 95 Yacht, the 75 Yacht, the 86 Yacht and the performance cruiser, the San Remo, al alongside the Manhattan 52.
