Carefree Boat Club opens first West Coast location

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. – Carefree Boat Club has opened its first location on the West Coast. The club will now operate in Marina Del Ray, Calif., under the leadership of Tona Gomez and Bijan Namdar.

The decision to start in Los Angeles was based on both the favorable demographics of the area and that both owners had roots in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.

The club will operate in secured slips at the Marina City Club Marina in Marina Del Rey. The fleet consists of brand new 2015 Formulas, a 27 PC Cruiser, a 270 BR Bowrider and more.

“The boat club concept is new here, so we are working hard to educate people about the benefits of a boat club as a cost-effective alternative to owning a boat,” added Namdar. “We are using social media, various celebrities and spokespersons, networking groups, and strategic online marketing to promote the benefits of a boat club.”

“We are pleased to have extended the Carefree network onto the west coast, and we couldn’t be any more thrilled that Tona and Bijan chose to do it with Formula boats at Marina Del Rey,” said Frank Fahringer, director of marketing for corporate Carefree Boat Clubs. “They are providing Carefree Boat Club members with extraordinary boating experiences.”
