Pettit announces new hires following substantial growth

ROCKAWAY, N.J. – Pettit Marine Paint, leading manufacturer of high performance marine coatings, announced today the latest promotions and additions within its sales and customer service teams. In the wake of significant and sustained growth following the release of its award-winning Hydrocoat Eco, coupled with strong sales from Pettit’s EZ-Poxy2 and Prop Coat Barnacle Barrier, the new hires will help meet the ever increasing market demand for the company’s industry-leading offerings.

Promotions and new hires within the Pettit Marine Paint team include:

Tom Maellaro, who served most recently as Pettit’s New Product Development Coordinator, with experience that includes a stint as an outside sales representative, has been promoted to the position of New Jersey Sales and Technical Service Representative. His territory includes New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Upstate New York and Eastern Canada.

Bill Wolf joined the Pettit team on May 1st. Based in Florida, Bill leads the company’s ‘Big Yard Initiative’ program. An experienced yacht captain, his background includes positions as service writer and project manager for Rybovich Yacht Yard in West Palm Beach, and as a successful sales representative at Seahawk Paints. Bill will work along side the Pettit sales team on a countrywide effort to strengthen business relationships with boatyards that typically handle vessels larger than 80 feet.

Rachael Cartwright joined the Pettit Sales and Technical Service Representative team on July 1st. Based in the Pacific Northwest, her responsibilities include managing sales in Oregon, Washington, Western Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. Rachael has over a decade of experience in all facets of marine maintenance, repair and service. Before relocating to Seattle, she most recently held the position of General Service Manager at Ferry Point Marina in Arnold, Maryland. Rachael’s positive attitude, attention to detail and desire to excel will allow Pettit to greatly expand its position throughout the Pacific Northwest territory.

Garrett Falls joined the Pettit Sales and Technical Service staff earlier this year with responsibility for the Midwest market. Owner of My Boat Guys and Second Wind Sailing, he brings several years experience in marine service and restoration to his position.

The recent addition of Ken Wickey strengthens Pettit’s Customer Service team as the Technical Service Advisor. Having formerly served in a similar position with a competing company before joining Pettit’s ranks, Ken possesses an intimate knowledge of the entire product line. Ken’s experience also includes a term at Jackson’s Marina on Long Island where he served as Assistant Dock Manager & Technical Assistant.

Tim Stark joined the Pettit team to cover Western Florida and the Gulf States, assuming the Sales and Technical Service role previously held by his father, Peter Stark, for the past 25 years. Tim’s experience includes over 20 years with West Marine with documented accolades including leading his store to ‘Company Store of the Year’ in 2013.
