Marine dealer same-store sales up in June

Boat dealer revenue continued its upswing in June, as same-store sales increased for the fifth straight month, ADP Lightspeed reported.

Overall, revenue increased a healthy 7.6 percent from June 2013 to June 2014, even as growth slowed from the 12.7 percent recorded in May.

Boat sales lead the way, with an average increase of 9.1 percent. That was down slightly from May’s pace of 13.7 percent year-over-year increase, but was the fourth month in a row with sales growth.

Service and parts sales were also up, 3.5 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively from June 2013. Both categories increased for the third straight month and the fourth month out of the first six months of 2014.
