Seattle welcomes new Redden Marine Supply location

SEATTLE, Wash. – When Redden Marine Supply started out in Alaska, Dwight D. Eisenhower was President of the United States. That’s a lot of salmon up the stream. In those 50-plus years, Redden has followed a simple motto: Thrill and delight the customers. This mission worked, and the popular marine supply chain is now opening its fifth retail location—a combined sales and distribution warehouse site on the Lake Washington Ship Canal in Seattle. Just minutes from Fisherman’s Terminal, Elliott Bay Marina and Shilshole Bay Marina, the new facility supports Redden’s wholesale delivery network for its commercial fishing customers. The Seattle location also features an impressive retail storefront that suits one of the largest suppliers of equipment to boat owners and the recreational fishing industry.

On one of Seattle’s main waterways, the new Redden Marine Supply location is ideally situated for commercial and recreational boaters alike. With a storefront that is convenient for all boats going to and from Puget Sound and local lakes, customers can simply pull their boats up to the store’s dock, make their purchases and head back out onto the water. By land, Redden can be found near the Nickerson Street Marina at 1080 West Ewing Street.

“Redden Marine Supply is proud to enter the thriving maritime market here in Seattle, where I believe we’ll stand apart as a sought-after resource for local commercial and recreational boaters,” says Redden’s executive vice president, Mike Reese, who is pleased with public response to date. “We truly believe our robust, best-in-class product selection and commitment to hiring the most technically knowledgeable and friendly staff in the industry will contribute to our long-term success in the region.”

Redden’s utilization of its new 37,000 square-foot space features a 7,000 square-foot retail store, which is open to the general public, and an open-air distribution center that provides an impressive display of the working side of the marine business. Shoppers will delight in the enormous selection of more than 20,000 consistently in-stock items. In addition to in-store product, more than 50,000 high-quality marine supply items are made available through reddenmarine.com—a vast inventory that sets the Redden Marine Supply brand apart from both local and national maritime competition.

“We hand-selected this new location because it’s situated in the heart of both commercial and recreational boating areas,” says Reese. “The Redden team is extremely pleased to be setting-up-shop in the heart of Seattle’s boating action to better serve and connect with our customers.”

Redden Marine will celebrate the grand opening of its new Seattle location on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The general public, boating-enthusiasts and industry professionals are invited to meet factory representatives who will host live product demonstrations throughout the day, and are encouraged to take part in technical seminars, enjoy refreshments and participate in an hourly raffle for great prizes.
