Cobalt Boats premieres A40 sport yacht
MIAMI — Cobalt Boats recently attended the Miami Boat Show in Florida February 13-17, 2014, to premiere the highly anticipated A40. The Miami Boat Show is recognized as the world’s premier boat show, with more 2,000 exhibitors spanning across three locations. Cobalt dealers and invited guests from across the globe traveled to the show to take part in the event. The event provided the opportunity for participants to experience the exhilarating performance of the A40 and get behind the wheel for demonstration cruises throughout the show. The demos were led by Cobalt and Volvo Penta representatives, as the featured A40 was equipped with Volvo D6 Diesel stern drives. Cobalt held a reception featuring an exclusive tasting of Cobalt Wine. The event was hosted by Pack St. Clair, Founder and Paxson St. Clair, CEO at the Marriot Biscayne Bay.

The A40 is a sport yacht that combines the needs of luxury day boating with the demands for a weekend aboard. Below deck, the twin dual propeller gas or diesel stern drives provide instantaneous on plane times with speeds approaching 50 mph. The available Volvo joystick and Mercury Axius control pods allow for pinpoint docking accuracy. The cockpit features a hydraulic swim platform, stainless trimmed hard top, convertible island sun pad, outdoor galley with fridge, and a profiled frameless style windshield. The technologically advanced helm features a Garmin glass cockpit with dual 12″ touch screen GPS multi-function gauges providing intuitive response to the captain’s demands. Austrian free-range leather, granite countertops, rich wood grains, and panoramic windows adorn the cabin. In addition to luxury, the A40 is constructed with a durable fiberglass stringer grid system and composite transom inset with a full fiberglass inner-liner. The A40 is a custom production model available through the Cobalt Dealer Network worldwide.
