MasterCraft Boat Company awarded all three ISO certifications

VONORE, Tenn. — MasterCraft Boat Company, the world’s leading luxury performance inboard boat manufacturer, has achieved global ISO 9001:2008, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certification from Alliance International, LLC. These certifications confirm that MasterCraft, who is the only boat manufacturer in the global marine industry to achieve such prestigious certifications, has met the requirements of the ISO standard for its Quality, Environmental, and Safety management systems across production and product development operations.

Achievement of these ISO standard(s) demonstrates a verifiable commitment to product and service quality, environmental, and safety workplace management and performance.  Furthermore inherent in all of the ISO standards is a set of elements that standardize improvement into the daily operations for years to come.  ISO standards are implemented by over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries, and represent international best practices that have been in place for over 60 years.

“Our leadership team knows there is a strong connection between safety, quality, delivery, and cost,” said Shane Chittum, Chief Operating Officer.  “In the defining phase of our ISO charter, our team recognized the interdependencies of Environment, Health & Safety and its effect on quality.  And while it was much harder for our team to build and launch a system that crosses multiple facets of our business, at the end of the day our customers deserve first-rate quality.  And you cannot deliver top-notch quality without a world class Environmental, Health & Safety workplace for our employees and visitors.  This is a remarkable milestone for MasterCraft and we are very excited to see the roots grow in our continuous improvement culture.”

This accomplishment makes MasterCraft the first marine company to achieve all three ISO standards.  “As a team we constantly discuss the fact that world class quality is built on a foundation of outstanding performance in environmental, health and safety processes,” stated Terry McNew President and CEO of MasterCraft Boat Company.  “MasterCraft is committed to delivering an ever better product to consumers and we believe having ISO certifications in all three areas demonstrates that commitment.  In fact, thanks to the ISO process and certifications, we confidently offer the best warranty on the water – our 5 year, bow to stern coverage known as MasterCare.”
