Four elected to Michigan Boating Industries Association board
Livonia, Mich., December 9, 2013 – At their Annual Meeting and Recreational Boating Educational Conference on December 5, four marine business people were elected to serve as directors of the Michigan Boating Industries Association, a state-wide, non-profit marine trade association representing more than 300 marine businesses in Michigan.
Amy Crouchman, Toledo Beach Marina in LaSalle and Patti Smith, Silver Spray Sports in Fenton were elected as State-wide Directors. David Lyle, Walstrom Marine in Harbor Springs was elected as the Northern Regional Director. Tim Tadsen was re-elected as the Boaters’ Association of Michigan Director. All will serve three year terms.
Officer’s appointed for 2014 are: Jim Coburn, Coburn & Associates in Macomb was re-appointed Chairman of the Board. Mike Apling, Devil’s Lake Watersports in Manitou Beach was appointed Vice Chair and Tom Den Herder, Yacht Basin Marina in Holland was re-appointed Secretary/Treasurer.
Other directors on the board who will continue to serve in 2014 include: Chris Lisowicz, North Shore Marina, Spring Lake; Andy MacLachlan, South River Marine, Harrison Twp.; Steve Popkie, W.C. Beardslee, Harsen’s Island; Warren Wolf, Wolf’s Marine, Benton Harbor.
