He attributes his success to joining groups like MBIA and business relationships to being a successful business long-term.”

“Pat’s actions and business platform allows boaters of all ages, experience, and income levels to enjoy recreational boating in Michigan.  Grand Pointe Marina has been a constant standard in the boat sales, service, and storage business for decades.  His customers have come to enjoy and expect a top quality boating experience,” said his son Chris Stevens who nominated Pat.

Grand Pointe Marina opened in 1968 and has been a staple to the Lansing area since. It is one of few that have been part of Boating Industries Top 100 for several years running. Their commitment to high standards, excellent customer service, employee satisfaction and high business standards stem from Stevens’ leadership.

Grande Pointe Marina is also an exhibitor at MBIA’s Detroit Boat Show, Spring Boating Expo, and Boating & Outdoor Festival.

MBIA is the official, state-wide marine industry association which serves as the voice to Michigan’s $7.4 billion marine industry and the 4 million people who enjoy Michigan’s nearly 1 million registered boats.  The MBIA is dedicated to the advancement, protection and promotion of boating across Michigan.  MBIA produces three association-owned boat shows, the Detroit Boat Show at Cobo Center, the Spring Boating Expo in Novi, and the Boating & Outdoor Festival in Harrison Twp.  The proceeds from these shows benefit boating in Michigan through MBIA programs and promotions.
