Cruzin, the leading online peer-to-peer boat rental and charter marketplace, won the Neo Prize for innovation at the recent Open Network Lab Global Pitch 2013 in San Francisco. This exclusive event served as a product showcase for young companies, to potential business partners and the venture capital community.
At www.cruzin.com, boat owners can turn their boats into sources of income by renting them to pre-screened, qualified renters. With a nationwide community offering a wide range of boats, Cruzin helps make boating a fun, simple and affordable part of life. The protection of $1 million in insurance and the towing services of BoatUS are included in each rental. Cruzin is free to join and has no monthly or membership fees.
Cruzin was among just a handful of exclusive entrepreneurial companies invited to participate in the Open Network Lab showcase. The event's sponsors included leading-edge Japanese tech company Digital Garage, as well as Neo and Open Network Lab, organizations dedicated to incubating potential new ventures.
"We're honored to be recognized at such a prestigious event of global innovators and business leaders," said Cruzin CEO Jaclyn Baumgarten. "It validates the hard work we've invested in developing Cruzin as a leading online community that supports the growth of recreational boating."
