Marine Industry executive Rob Parmentier to become President/CEO of Larson Boat Group

Minneapolis MN. October 14, 2013 – Robert J. Parmentier has been named President/CEO of LBG.
Parmentier’s most current experience was SVP of Marketing and Business Development for CGI North America. Previous to CGI, Mr. Parmentier was President of the Sea Ray Boat Group through December 2012, overseeing the Brunswick Corp. brands of Sea Ray Boats and Meridian Yachts. Mr. Parmentier was with Sea Ray since 1982. He had also served as President of Meridian Yachts and President of Baja Marine, a former Brunswick company.
Mr. Irwin Jacobs, Chairman of LBG, commented on Mr. Parmentier’s new position with LBG, “I have known and competed with Rob for over 20 years and during that time, I learned directly and indirectly how passionate Rob is about the boating industry, his dealers and doing what is right for his customers and employees.” Mr. Jacobs continued, “Now that Rob is on our team, I look forward to his contributions in growing our brand image, our market share and the enthusiasm and commitment to our dealer organization.”
Mr. Parmentier added, “I am very excited to have been chosen to lead LBG’s great brands. I’ve had the opportunity to meet with the management team, visit with LBG factory employees and talk to several dealers. In these conversations I was impressed with the pride undertaken in the manufacturing process and the enthusiasm LBG dealers and employees have for our brands.” Mr. Parmentier further stated, “My passion for the marine business is unwavering, my commitment to ensure our employees all believe in what we are going to achieve is unshakable, and finally my promise to current and new dealers is that we will be partners in their success, are the foundations on which I will guide LBG.”
LBG’s current President, Al Kuebelbeck, will be retiring effective upon Mr. Parmentier joining LBG as its new President/CEO. Mr. Kuebelbeck has been in the marine industry for 44 years. Mr. Jacobs stated, “Al was one of the first people I met when I entered the marine industry approximately 38 years ago. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with and has always been very loyal and committed to Larson’s dealers, employees, and customers. He is a great friend and always will be.” Mr. Kuebelbeck commented, “I feel very confident leaving LBG in the very capable hands of Rob Parmentier as I’m sure he’ll continue to grow LBG’s boat business globally.” He further stated, “I will always have fond memories of my time working with my incredibly talented and dedicated team of people at our factory in Little Falls as well as with our dealers around the world.”
