Industry Breakfast to be held Feb. 14 in Miami

The National Marine Manufacturer's Association will be holding its annual industry breakfast at the Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail, where it will be presenting on the state of the recreational boating industry and presenting awards for innovation and other achievements.
The breakfast, to be held February 14 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, is open by invite only. Those interested in attending should RSVP to Cathy Rick-Joule of the NMMA by Friday, February 8. Invites are by NMMA invite only.
During the event, Thom Dammrich, president of the NMMA, will present on the recreational boating industry. The NMMA will also present its Innovation Awards for innovative and technological achievements in the boating industry.
Other events include presentation of the Freedman Award for individuals "who have made outstanding contributions to the marine accessories industry through leadership, creativity, and personal motivation." The Marine Marketers of America Neptune Awards will be presented, recognizing excellence in marine marketing communications.
Other award presentations include the Chapman Award for individuals or groups that provide promotion and protection of the sport of boating, the YachtWorld Foundation, YachtWorld Heroes Nominee recognition for individuals, organizations or foundations that "further knowledge and protection of the world's oceans and help change the world through boating." And the American Boat & Yacht Council will present its special honor to a prominent leader in the recreational boating community.
