The 2012 Progressive Insurance Tampa Boat Show closed Sunday with initial reports from several exhibitors of quality traffic and stronger sales over previous years.
“We had a great show as a first time Sea Hunt dealer and we doubled our unit objectives. The turnout and traffic on the boats was great, and we look forward to being an even bigger part of the 2013 show,” said Ron Reeves, Pro Marine.
“We have lots of new leads from the Tampa Boat Show. I am pleased with the number of quality attendees,” echoed Ron Johnson, Chris Craft of Tampa Bay.
“First class setup by NMMA equated to a great weekend for us,” noted K. C. Scott, K Scott Under Water.
While the strong buying crowds were out, big events in the market, including a home Buccaneers game and the Super Boat National Championship & Festival, detracted from overall attendance, which dropped 23 percent over 2011 to 12,556.
