2016 Top 100 shaping up to be best in years

You know what I wish? I wish I could read one Top 100 application where someone had a lousy year.

(Not really, of course. I’m not wishing that on anyone.)

But I’ve said a variation of those words to several members of our team and not a few dealers since we started reviewing applications in June.

We’re deep into the evaluations of this year’s Top 100, and it’s safe to say it’s going to be the largest and best group of applications we’ve received since the end of the Great Recession. It shouldn’t be easy to make the Top 100 and this year it definitely won’t be. We’ll be cutting some very good companies when all is said and done.

Almost every applicant grew business in 2015 (most by double-digit percentages), while also investing in capital improvements, raising their CSI scores and upgrading their employee perks and benefits. The success and growth of these companies has been awe-inspiring.

We’ll share more about the Top 100’s best practices and benchmarking data, as well as the complete list in the January 2017 issue of Boating Industry. The complete Top 100 will be revealed at the annual Top 100 Gala, December 8 in Orlando.
